District Scout Shop

UPDATE:- As of 1st August 2022 Jan Yardley has taken over from Su as the Badge Secretary and an updated order form has been uploaded to the District site. Please ensure that you use this updated form.

Scarves and woggles are available from your Group/Unit.  All other uniform can be bought from any official Scout uniform supplier.  Suppliers include Stevensons (in Leyton Road, opposite Waitrose), Beat School Uniforms (in Station Road) and the on-line Scout shop (shop.scouts.org.uk).

Stevensons kindly agreed to take on the stock that we held at the end of last term and pay the District for any of our stock they sell. Purchases from Stevensons therefore currently directly support Scouting in the District, however you are, of course, free to shop wherever you choose.

Order your Badges and Scarves from Jan Yardley who is now the District Badge Secretary.
We have changed the method that the badges are ordered. There is now a dedicated form which is really easy to complete and has been tested on Excel (PC & Mac) and Numbers (Mac). Please download the form when you need it as this will ensure any updates to the form are used. Complete the form and attach it to your email to Jan.

  • The minimum order for scarves is 20 (that is two packs of 10 each).
  • The form can be downloaded by using THIS LINK
  • The new email address to use for orders is:- badges@harpendenscouts.org.uk (this direct link does not work with GMail and similar. You will need to copy/paste)
  • Postal address is 35 Fairmead Avenue, Harpenden, AL5 5UD

Jan says "I can be contacted by email at any time Jan Yardley  Collection is from the Keter plastic bench on my front porch (address above) but i can deliver if absolutely necessary. I will aim to fulfil orders as soon as possible keeping you up-to-date with progress if I have to order stock.  If I do not respond, please do not be afraid to give me a gentle nudge. I can usually fulfil badge orders with a week but scarves usually take approx 4 weeks to arrive and must be ordered in packs of 10 with a minimum 20 order, ie two packs. I am also holding a stock of leather and plastic Woggles and a few certificate of varying types"
